Having suffered the loss the local shop and Post Office in 2018, the community took action and formed a charitable body which has since re-established the Oxton Shop. Run by volunteers and one member of staff it is a vital community resource. That role at the heart of the community became even more apparent during lockdown. From newspapers, magazines, food, dairy goods, baked goods to drinks and more, we aim to provide everything and anything you might need on a whim. Whether you’re doing your weekly shop or need supplies for tonight’s dinner, pop in and find what you’re looking for. We also stock cigarettes, alcohol and a range of medical supplies – if you cant find what you are looking for, let us know and we'll try to get it for you.
